Ukrainian basketball player Alina Iagupova, 21, received the FIBA Europe Young Women’s Player of the Year 2012 trophy before her debut EuroBasket game in Vannes, France, informs eurobasketwomen2013.com. The voting of the fans and selected media determined the 2012 winner. Accepting the award, Iagupova admitted to being very proud to become the player of the year. The recognition would give her more confidence in the future, said the athlete.
